Its times like these when you just have to start tossing stuff around out-of-place in order to get answers.

I have owned GODMODE.COM now for over a decade (that is 10 years in hexicopter speak). Since then, I have pretty much klet let is sit and collect various microbes of stuff I enjoy reading. Tech stuff like cellphones, or satellite, PC stuff, modding, overclocking, whatever.

Where I work now, most of the people CANNOT believe I own all of these GODMODE domains. It is a gaming cult sort of term (Google it, boytch).  I used to have gaming cheats on it, game links, and whatever link sharing was available in 1998.

Now, as time goes on, I am trying to do something else with it. I have some ideas but welcome input fro others. In the upper-left are links to the old 8 year forum of tech stuff you can read. I will always have that because there is a lot of nostalgia in the old tech posts.

So, if you have any ideas, want to write or be an author, let me know. No jokers – unless you are funny. Now, GFYS.

As you can see, I am using an iPhone on at&t. At least, this is what I was sold at the store . I told the silly at the store that I wanted the FULL iPhone experience and to give me the best.

I have not figured out how to load my songs yet.

In other news, how the hell do I demo that fun antenna trick? I want to show my friend with the StarTAC.

Wow. 4G bla bla speeds are coming. What does it mean? In the immortal words of some asssholes on Facebook – I bet I can find 1 million people who don’t know the friggin difference.

So what is better? A Next Generation wireless network that’s really fast! Or! A last generation network that is pretty damn fast for what I need. And it likely wont have a surcharge.

I am all for innovation, really. But, there is a chance that most people won’t care. And those who do? Most of them won’t know why.

Just give me a mobile OS that works on a network with 99.98% up-time Just like those asshat website providers who lease their servers from some other asshole.

Just make it work “better’er”.

Or is T-Mobile coming to Apple? A question you can ask yourself while in the john.

It is more plausible, and likely more feasible that the “other” GSM would acquire the rights to offer the iPhone. Not that is isn’t possible that Verizon could. But, ponder this:

To a certain extent, AT&T and T-Mobile’s networks are compatible.  In the 1900 range, and 2100 (3G upload only on T-Mo). So, switching from at&t as a carrier to T-mobile will be less of a headache, than if it were a switch from at&t to Verizon (or vice-versa for that matter).

If and when the iPhone comes to Verizon, a switch to a GSM would require a new phone, OR some sort of courtesy deal from Apple – because in the end, the carriers are already offering good deals on the “greatest phone ever” for new customers.

With a “legal” carrier unlock, a GSM iPhone could work on T-Mobile, (EDGE), unless Apple decides to make a hexaband (what a great word) iPhone which would include all compatible GSM frequencies. The current iPhone 4 is pentaband.

So, ponder forward at the delight of the iPhone coming to every carrier. After all, if its coming to Verizon and T-Mobile, why not Sprint? Is it not Apple’s desire to rule the world?  We will soon find out.

Yay for android. Boo for fancy UI’s from OCD OEM’s.

Please Google, require and enforce a killswitch for fancy oem UIs. Users should not need to root their phones to get away from motoblur, touchwiz and blablawiz.

It does not matter that Apples phone sucks balls on the reception end. All people want are applications that do things like count their friends, look up movies and tell them where they lost their car.

Which is fine, really.

I do not own an iPhone. But, most people using them don’t really give a shit .Infact, I am not entirely certain iPhone (or even apple for that matter) know that they are even selling a phone.

Which rules.
