PalmSource and Wacom jointly announced Wacom’s acceptance into the Palm OS Ready Program. The program will allow Wacom to certify their Penabled pen-based interface technology for the Palm OS. The Penabled technology by Wacom allows for advanced features including application zooming, flight point feature and digital signature recognition. The technology does this by using increased pressure sensitivity with a sensor embedded behind the display allowing durability. Other members of the Palm OS Ready program include ATI, Intel, M-Systems, Motorola, NVIDIA, Samsung Semiconductor, SyChip and Texas Instruments. Read more from the Wacom press release.
